PONTOON BEACH, ILLINOIS – July 28, 2014 – The Field Sports Complex announced today that the Illinois Piasa will be rebranded as FC Adrenaline ahead of the 2014-2015 Major Arena Soccer League season. The rebranding will allow the club to grow throughout the St. Louis and Metro East region as a premier indoor organization.
“This name gives us the opportunity to hold on to the great tradition that the Piasa created while moving forward as a results-driven club dedicated to competing at the highest level,” said Chris Trebing, General Manager of FC Adrenaline. “In combination with our partnership with the St. Louis Ambush, we are excited for this to be a breakout season for the club.”
FC Adrenaline held their first round of tryouts last week at The Field Sports Complex and are incredibly pleased with the level of talent throughout the region. The club has been working closely with the St. Louis Ambush to groom talent for each club to maximize the level of play and achieve improved success immediately and in the future.
“It was refreshing to see several new players that we haven’t seen come out in recent past,” said Trebing. “As we continue to cultivate and improve our talent pool and invest in the future of soccer in the region, it will be beneficial to everyone.”
FC Adrenaline has selected approximately 20 players to participate in the first match under the new branding against the Ambush in a friendly matchup on Saturday, August 9th. The unique outdoor match will take place at Soccer Park in Fenton, Mo. with tickets available at www.STLAmbush.com and www.Metrotix.com.
