Western Indoor Soccer League meeting kicks off plans for upcoming season

WISL Logo - 600TACOMA, WA—The Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) club owners and operators met on Sunday September 10 at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma to make plans for the upcoming indoor soccer season. The WISL will play its fourth season starting this November. The five clubs competing for the title this year will be Bellingham United (2-time defending champions), Olympic Force (Bremerton), Oly Town Artesians (Olympia), Snohomish Skyhawks and Tacoma Stars Reserves.

“Our meeting was relatively short and to the point,” says WISL Commissioner John Crouch.  “We covered a lot of topics but like usual for the WISL, we focused on competition and making our league better for our fans and players.”

MCAC Futsal – Week 4

Assiniboine Community College and Brandon University will host futsal action this weekend in Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference play.

ACC Cougars men (0-1-3) and women (1-0-4) will hope the home floor advantage will lead to a climb in the MCAC standings.

The Brandon Bobcats women (3-1-0) hold a slim advantage over the undefeated CMU Blazers (3-0-0) while the Bobcats men (3-1-1) are tied atop the standings with CMU (3-1-0) each with 10 points.

WMF World Cup 2017 Awarded To Tunisia

 

World Minifootball Federation has awarded the World Cup 2017 tournament hosting rights to Tunisie Minifootball Federation. The tournament will take place in October at a yet-to-be-built stadium in Carthage.TunisieMinifootball

18 teams will compete in the second edition of the WMF World Cup. Team USA won the initial world championship in 2015 defeating Mexico in the final.

Ontario Fury Hosting USANIST-Brazil Friendly

 

USANISTOntario Fury will host the USA National Indoor Soccer Team on Saturday, August 27 at Citizens Business Bank Arena as they face Brazil in a friendly.

USA and Brazil have met just one time – in November 2008 – with the USANIST winning 12-6. The two teams did not face each other at the 2015 WMF World Cup, the most recent international event.
